The Centre for Sustainable Rural Agriculture & Development, CSRAD is a Ghanaian non-profit making, non-political and non-governmental organization registered with the Ghana Registrar Generals’ Department with registration number G-34,717.

CSRAD is headquartered in the Western Ghana but operates in other regions across Ghana, especially northern Ghana. Our target population and/or beneficiaries have largely been the marginalized and underserved rural communities and stakeholder groups.

The organization was set up with the principal aim of using sustainable actions and approaches to enhance rural livelihoods, environmental sustainability, natural resources conservation, and human capital enhancement to improve upon the wellbeing of rural communities within socio-ecological and socio-economic framework in line with SDGs 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 13, 15.

We strive to achieve these through:

1. Implementing scientific research to develop and disseminate climate-smart agriculture technologies to smallholder farmers
2. Digital agriculture, climate, and market advisory services provision
3. Rural natural resources conservation and environmental management projects
4. Rural youth and women economic empowerment and capacity development initiatives, partnership and networking with like-minded national and international organizations, coalitions, academic institutions, and development agencies.
